What data does HiFi use?
HiFi uses the information it needs to run your calls and messages. That includes:
Calls HiFi handles: recordings, voice messages, transcripts, and call summaries.
Call history: who called, when, and what happened, shown in Call Activity.
Contacts you share: used to recognize and greet people you know, and to apply your HiFi answers calls from setting.
Text messages sent and received with your HiFi number.
Suggestions from calls: events and reminders, which you choose whether to add.
HiFi uses this data to provide its features, such as answering calls, summarizing them, and warning you about possible scam calls. For details, read “What data HiFi collects during a call”.
Who can see my data?
In the app, your calls, transcripts, summaries, voice messages, and texts appear only in your HiFi account. To show them to someone else, you share them yourself, for example with Share call details.
Some things you send go to HiFi:
Spam reports help improve spam detection.
Summary feedback can include the call transcript if you check Include transcript to help us improve.
For the full picture, read “How your data is used and who can see it” and the Hiya Privacy Policy.
How can I limit or remove my data?
You can limit what HiFi keeps:
Turn on Incognito during a call to pause HiFi’s assistant for part of the call. That part is left out of the transcript. Read “Keep part of a call private with Incognito”.
Choose whether to share your contacts. On iPhone, you can share only selected contacts. Read “Give HiFi access to your contacts”.
Delete individual calls or conversations, or delete your whole account. Read “Delete your HiFi account and data”.
