Delete your HiFi account and data

How do I delete a single call?

Delete a call from its Call Details screen. This removes the call from your Call Activity, along with its details.

  1. On Home, tap the call in Call Activity.

  2. Open the menu in Call Details.

  3. Tap Delete call activity.

If you only want to tidy up your list without deleting anything, tap Clear above Call Activity on Home. Clear marks calls as viewed but keeps them. For more, see “Delete a call and rate a summary”.

How do I delete a text conversation?

Press and hold the conversation in the Messages tab, then tap Delete conversation. The conversation moves to Deleted messages and is kept for 30 days, so you can restore it if you change your mind.

To remove a conversation right away, open the Deleted messages filter, open the conversation, and tap Delete forever.

Deleting a conversation removes it from your HiFi inbox. It doesn’t remove messages from the other person’s phone. For more, see “Filter, search, and manage conversations”.

What should I do before I delete my account?

Turn off call forwarding, cancel your subscription, and save anything you want to keep:

  • Turn off call forwarding if you use it. If your existing number forwards calls to HiFi, HiFi asks you to turn off call forwarding first, so calls to your number keep reaching you after your account is gone. HiFi can dial your carrier’s code for you during the delete steps.

  • Cancel your subscription separately. Your subscription is billed by Apple or Google, not by HiFi. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel it. See “Cancel HiFi”.

  • Save anything you want to keep. Use Share call details to send yourself summaries, transcripts, or voice messages before you delete. See “Share call details”.

How do I delete my HiFi account?

Delete your account from the bottom of Account & settings. You can’t undo this.

  1. On Home, tap the profile button in the top corner to open Account & settings.

  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.

  3. Read the list of what will be deleted.

  4. Continue to the next screen.

  5. If you use call forwarding, HiFi shows Action required. Tap Turn off call forwarding, and HiFi dials your carrier’s code. Follow any prompts from your carrier.

  6. Choose a reason for leaving.

  7. Tap Delete this account and local app data to confirm.

HiFi shows Account deleted when it’s done. You can then uninstall HiFi from your phone.

What gets deleted when I delete my account?

Deleting your account removes your HiFi account and the app data on your phone. The data that’s deleted includes:

  • call logs

  • voice messages

  • transcripts and call summaries

  • events and reminders

  • blocked numbers

Hiya keeps certain data after you delete your account, such as spam and fraud report data you submitted. For details about what Hiya keeps and why, read the Hiya Privacy Policy.

Deleting your account doesn’t delete contacts from your phone. Contacts you added or edited through HiFi are saved in your phone’s Contacts app and stay there.

Troubleshooting

  • HiFi won’t let me delete my account until I turn off forwarding: Tap Turn off call forwarding in the delete steps, or turn it off yourself with your carrier’s code. See “Turn off call forwarding”.

  • I’m still being charged after deleting my account: Your subscription is managed by Apple or Google. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions. See “Manage your HiFi subscription”.

  • Calls to my number aren’t reaching me after I deleted HiFi: Call forwarding may still be on. Turn it off with your carrier’s code. See “Turn off call forwarding”.
