What’s the difference between canceling and deleting my account?
Canceling ends your subscription. Deleting removes your account and its data. They’re separate steps, and doing one doesn’t do the other.
Cancel your subscription to stop future charges. Your subscription is billed by Apple or Google, so you cancel it in the App Store or Google Play. Your HiFi account stays in place.
Delete your account to remove your HiFi account, call history, transcripts, summaries, voice messages, and other data. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel your subscription.
If you want to stop using HiFi completely, do both. Uninstalling HiFi from your phone does neither.
How do I stop using HiFi completely?
Follow these steps in order so calls keep reaching you and you aren’t charged again.
Turn off call forwarding, if you use it. Calls to your existing number then ring your phone again. See “Turn off call forwarding”.
Save anything you want to keep. Use Share call details to send yourself summaries, transcripts, or voice messages. See “Share call details”.
Cancel your subscription. You cancel in the App Store or Google Play, and you can get there from Account & settings > Manage subscription. See “Manage your HiFi subscription”.
Delete your account, if you want your data removed. Open Account & settings and tap Delete account at the bottom. See “Delete your HiFi account and data”.
Uninstall HiFi from your phone.
To open Account & settings, tap the profile button in the top corner of Home.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Cancel through the App Store or Google Play. HiFi can’t cancel it for you.
On Home, tap the profile button to open Account & settings.
Tap Manage subscription.
Tap the option to manage your plan. HiFi opens your App Store or Google Play subscriptions.
Choose HiFi.
Follow the App Store or Google Play steps to cancel.
You can also cancel from your phone’s settings:
On iPhone: Open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, then tap HiFi.
On Android: Open Google Play, tap your profile picture, tap Payments & subscriptions, tap Subscriptions, then choose HiFi.
To avoid being charged again, cancel at least a day before your free trial or billing period ends. For more about plans and billing, see “Manage your HiFi subscription”.
What happens after I cancel?
You can keep using HiFi until the end of the period you’ve paid for, or until your free trial ends. Manage subscription then shows an Expiration date instead of a Next renewal date.
When your subscription ends, HiFi stops answering and screening your calls. HiFi shows Subscription required, and Account & settings shows only Subscribe to HiFi.
If you still have call forwarding on, calls to your existing number keep going to HiFi, and you won’t receive them. Turn off call forwarding so calls ring your phone again.
You can subscribe again at any time from Account & settings > Subscribe to HiFi.
Troubleshooting
I canceled, but I’m not getting calls: Call forwarding is likely still on. Dial your carrier’s turn-off code. See “Turn off call forwarding”.
I uninstalled HiFi and I’m still being charged: Uninstalling doesn’t cancel your subscription. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play.
I was charged after canceling: Apple or Google handles charges and refunds. Contact App Store or Google Play support.
