Manage your account settings

How do I open Account & settings?

Tap the profile button in the top corner of Home. Account & settings opens with your account details, answering preferences, phone preferences, blocked numbers, and support options.

If you don’t have an active subscription or free trial, Account & settings shows only Subscribe to HiFi and the support options. The rest of your settings appear once you subscribe or restore your purchase.

Where can I see my email address?

Your email address appears under Email address at the top of Account & settings. It’s the email linked to your sign-in method. You can’t change it in the app.

If you signed in with Google or Apple, this is the email from that account. For more about sign-in methods, see “Sign in and restore your account”.

How do I change my preferred name?

Your Preferred name is the name HiFi uses when it talks to callers.

  1. Open Account & settings.

  2. Tap Preferred name.

  3. Enter the name HiFi should use for you or your business. Use letters and spaces only, up to 50 characters.

  4. Save your change.

If you see “Please enter a valid name”, remove any numbers or symbols. For more about how HiFi uses your name, see “Set the name HiFi uses with callers”.

How do I manage my subscription?

Tap Manage subscription in Account & settings. You can see your Current plan, Billing cycle, and Next renewal date or Expiration date. You can also tap Restore purchases, and on iPhone, Redeem code.

To change or cancel your plan, HiFi opens your subscriptions in the App Store on iPhone or Google Play on Android. For more, see “Manage your HiFi subscription”.

How do I change the app theme?

Tap App theme in Account & settings, then choose Light, Dark, or System. System matches your phone’s appearance setting, so HiFi switches between light and dark when your phone does.

The theme changes right away and applies only to HiFi. It doesn’t change your phone’s other apps.

Where do I find my HiFi number?

If you have a HiFi number, it appears under Your HiFi number in Account & settings. Tap Share to send it to someone using your phone’s share sheet.

If you don’t have a HiFi number, this setting shows No number claimed. Tap Claim to get one. For steps, see “Get a new HiFi number”.

How do I check my call forwarding status?

If you use call forwarding instead of a HiFi number, Account & settings shows Call forwarding status. It says whether forwarding is Enabled or Disabled.

  • Tap Enable to set up call forwarding.

  • Tap Disable to turn it off.

  • Tap the help button (question mark) to learn more.

This setting only appears if you don’t have a HiFi number. For more, see “Set up call forwarding in HiFi”.

What else can I change in Account & settings?

Account & settings also holds your call-handling and support options:

  • HiFi answers calls from chooses which calls HiFi answers. See “Choose which calls HiFi answers”.

  • Manage your greeting changes what HiFi says when it answers. See “Customize HiFi’s greeting”.

  • HiFi voice chooses the voice HiFi uses. See “Choose HiFi’s voice”.

  • Announce call recording tells callers the call is recorded. See “Announce call recording to callers”.

  • Manage blocked numbers opens your Block list. See “Manage your blocked numbers”.

  • Rate us and Help center are in the support section.

At the bottom of the screen, you’ll find the app version, links to Privacy and Terms, and Delete account.

Can I sign out of HiFi?

No. HiFi doesn’t have a sign-out option. To stop using HiFi on a phone, uninstall the app. If you use call forwarding, turn it off before you uninstall so calls to your number keep reaching you. See “Turn off call forwarding”.

Uninstalling doesn’t cancel your subscription. To stop being charged, see “Cancel HiFi”.

To stop using HiFi permanently and remove your data, see “Delete your HiFi account and data”.
