Where do I find a call’s summary?
Open the call in Call Activity to read its summary.
On Home, tap the call in Call Activity.
Call Details opens. The Call Summary section explains in plain language who called, why, and what happened.
To use the summary somewhere else, tap Copy summary. You can then paste it into a note, email, or message.
Phone numbers, email addresses, and street addresses in the summary are highlighted. Tap one to call, text, email, or open a map. See “Act on phone numbers, emails, and addresses from a call”.
Read the full transcript
The transcript shows what was said on the call, word for word. Parts of the call where Incognito was on are left out. Use the transcript when you need exact details that the summary leaves out.
On Home, tap the call in Call Activity to open Call Details.
Tap Transcript.
Highlighted details in the transcript work the same way as in the summary. To send the transcript to someone, see “Share call details”.
Why does it say “Processing call summary and transcript…”?
HiFi is still preparing the summary and transcript after the call ended. Leave Call Details open, or come back to the call later. If the message doesn’t go away, check your internet connection and open the call again.
Why isn’t there a summary or transcript?
A call may not have a summary or transcript for a few reasons. Call Details shows a message that explains why:
“Summary not available. The caller hung up before screening could be completed.”: The caller hung up before HiFi could learn why they called.
“Transcript not available as we could not process audio.”: HiFi couldn’t process the call audio, so there’s no transcript for this call.
“No summary available since HiFi is snoozed”: You answered the call yourself while Snooze was on.
“No summary available”: There wasn’t enough conversation to summarize, for example on a very short call or a blocked call.
Listen to a message HiFi took
When a caller leaves a message with HiFi, you can play it in Call Details. In Call Activity, these calls show Play voicemail, and Call Details is titled Voice message from.
On Home, tap the call in Call Activity.
In Call Details, tap the play button on the audio player.
The summary and transcript of the message appear on the same screen, so you can read it instead of listening.
Why is part of my transcript missing?
Anything said while Incognito was on is left out of the transcript and summary on purpose. The call shows an Incognito tag in Call Details. The rest of the call is transcribed and summarized as usual. See “Keep part of a call private with Incognito”.
Does Call Details show scam or AI-voice warnings?
Yes. If HiFi noticed signs of scam tactics or an AI-generated voice during a call, Call Details shows that signal. Consider it along with the summary and transcript when you decide whether to call back. See “Scam and AI-voice warnings during calls”.
