Manage your blocked numbers

Where do I find my blocked numbers?

Your blocked numbers are on the Block list in Account & settings.

  1. On Home, tap the profile button in the top corner to open Account & settings.

  2. Under Blocked numbers, tap Manage blocked numbers.

The Manage blocked numbers row shows how many numbers you’ve blocked, for example 1 blocked caller. If you haven’t blocked anyone yet, the Block list says “You can block individual phone numbers from calling you.”

What does the Block list show?

Each entry on the Block list shows:

  • The contact’s name, if the number is saved in your contacts.

  • The phone number.

  • How many calls from that number have been blocked.

Calls from blocked numbers don’t ring you. They still appear in Call Activity on Home, with the caption You added this caller to your block list.

Block a phone number

You can block a number before it ever calls you.

  1. Go to Account & settings > Blocked numbers > Manage blocked numbers.

  2. Tap Add a blocked phone number.

  3. Enter the phone number.

  4. Tap Block number.

The number now appears on your Block list. You can also block a saved contact from their contact details, or block a number from a call’s Call Details. See “Report spam and block a caller”.

Unblock a phone number

  1. Go to Account & settings > Blocked numbers > Manage blocked numbers.

  2. Find the number on the Block list.

  3. Tap the unblock option for that number.

The number is removed from your Block list, and calls from it can reach you again. If you unblocked the wrong number, tap Undo right away to put it back on the list.

Troubleshooting

  • A blocked number still shows up in Call Activity: That’s expected. Blocked calls don’t ring you, but HiFi keeps a record in Call Activity so you can see them.

  • You’re still getting unwanted calls after blocking a number: Some spammers call from many different numbers. Block each new number and report it as spam. Your reports help improve HiFi’s spam detection. See “Report spam and block a caller”.
