# Find your way around HiFi

## What are the tabs in HiFi?

HiFi has four tabs along the bottom of the screen:

-   **Home:** Your calls, frequent contacts, search, and **Snooze**.
    
-   **Messages:** Your text conversations. Messaging needs a **HiFi number**.
    
-   **Dial:** A keypad for calling any number through HiFi.
    
-   **Contacts:** The contacts on your phone that HiFi can see.
    

To open **Account & settings**, tap the profile button in the top corner of **Home**.

## What’s on the Home screen?

**Home** shows what’s happening with your calls at a glance.

-   **Search bar:** At the top. Search calls, contacts, and words from call transcripts.
    
-   **Snooze:** Makes your phone ring first for a set time, instead of HiFi answering.
    
-   **Frequent Contacts:** A row of people you talk to often. You can pin people to keep them there.
    
-   **Call Activity:** A list of your calls. Tap a call to open its **Call Details**, with the summary and transcript. Tap **Clear** to mark all calls as viewed without deleting them.
    

When HiFi is answering a call, a card that says **HiFi is on a call** appears on **Home**. Tap the card to watch the call live.

While you’re getting started, **Home** can show cards that help you finish setting up, such as **Share your number**, **Kickstart your first call**, and **Enable forwarding**. When you’re new, **Call Activity** says **No activity yet**.

## How do I search in HiFi?

Use the search bar at the top of **Home** to find calls and contacts. HiFi also searches call transcripts, so you can find a call by something that was said.

To search your texts, use the search in the **Messages** tab. It searches all conversations, or one conversation when you’re inside it. Events and reminders aren’t included in search.

## What’s in Account & settings?

**Account & settings** holds your account details and preferences. Tap the profile button in the top corner of **Home** to open it. Sections include:

-   **Account:** Your **Email address**, **Preferred name**, and **Manage subscription**.
    
-   **Answering Calls:** **HiFi answers calls from**, **Manage your greeting**, and **Call forwarding status** (only if you don’t have a **HiFi number**).
    
-   **Phone preferences:** A test call (**Verify setup with an Assistant call** or **Learn how HiFi works**), **HiFi voice**, **App theme**, **Your HiFi number**, and announcement settings.
    
-   **Blocked numbers:** **Manage blocked numbers**.
    
-   **Support & feedback:** **Rate us** and **Help center**.
    

If you don’t have an active subscription, you see only **Subscribe to HiFi** and the support options.
