What does HiFi do?
HiFi is a phone app that can answers calls for you, tells you what happened on each call, and blocks known spam and scam calls.
With HiFi you can:
Let HiFi answer calls. HiFi picks up the calls you choose, such as calls from unknown numbers. It asks who’s calling and why, takes a message, and can pass the call to you. You can watch a call live and tap Take over to talk yourself.
Read summaries and transcripts. After a call, open Call Details to read a short Call Summary and the full transcript. HiFi also suggests calendar events and reminders it hears in the conversation.
Block spam and scams. HiFi automatically blocks calls from known spammers and scammers. During a call, it warns you about a possible scam call if it detects language or tactics often used by scammers.
Send text messages. With a HiFi number, you can send and receive texts, group messages, photos, videos, and files.
Make and receive calls. HiFi calls use the internet (Wi-Fi or mobile data). The people you call don’t need HiFi.
Can I keep my phone number?
Yes. During setup, you choose one of two ways to use HiFi:
Use my existing number. Your carrier forwards calls from your current number to HiFi. Your number doesn’t change. Text messaging isn’t available with call forwarding alone.
Get a new number. HiFi gives you a separate HiFi number for calls and texts. Your personal number keeps working as it does today.
